  • 24% of persons age 71 and older, live alone.
  • 8.3% of all Baby Boomers feel alone.
  • Social isolation costs Medicare $6.7 billion per year.
  • Isolated people are at much greater risk of dementia.
  • Isolated people have a much greater risk of early death.
